Accounts Payable Specialist

Location: West Sacramento or Davis, CA (onsite/hybrid depending on business needs)

Ledgent, a Roth Staffing Company, is partnering with a well-established Sacramento, CA client to identify an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist. This role will be responsible for full-cycle accounts payable processing and supporting the accounting team with accurate and timely financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle accounts payable, including invoice intake, coding, approval, and posting
  • Process high-volume vendor invoices with accuracy and timeliness
  • Perform three-way matching (invoice, PO, receipt)
  • Prepare and process weekly check runs, ACH, and wire payments
  • Maintain vendor files and handle W-9s and 1099 preparation
  • Reconcile AP subledger to the general ledger
  • Resolve vendor inquiries and discrepancies professionally
  • Assist with month-end close and audit support as needed
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and internal controls

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of full-cycle accounts payable experience
  • QuickBooks experience strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of GAAP related to payables
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
